Is it really possible to perform glasses removal without surgery?
Recently patients have been approaching me and asking me whether there is an option to get rid of glasses or contact lenses without the need for surgery. The answer is that at present there is no option of glasses removal without surgery. There are people who are not ophthalmologists and have not undergone any scientific certification who claim they are able to do this for people. It is important to emphasize, there is no research or a drop of evidence that this thing is possible today.

Drops that enable glasses removal without surgery
There are currently, at a very early stage of development, eye drops intended to replace the need for glasses. This is a very early product that is still in the initial stages of research and development and has not yet reached the commercial market.
The charlatans who claim they are able to "remove glasses without surgery" claim that with daily exercises of 15 minutes a day this is achievable. Again, as noted there is no evidence that this is a real and effective treatment, and we recommend that you avoid burning money on such people.
Erez S. (Yokneam) shares about the charlatanism of these people:
I searched Google for "glasses removal without surgery" and reached a site where they promised me that through daily practice of 15 minutes I could get rid of the glasses. They charged me 300 shekels for the initial instruction and it did nothing for me.

Today, the only alternative to glasses is contact lenses or laser glasses-removal surgery.
There is no such thing as "glasses removal without surgery". Do not lose your money on this nonsense.
I recommend reading more about laser glasses removal on the dedicated page. In addition, if you are asking whether there are risks for laser glasses-removal surgery, you can also read about it in the article dedicated to it on the ophthalmologist's website.
