- Castor oil – castor oil has anti-inflammatory properties that can reduce the itching and discomfort associated with a stye. This property makes castor oil useful in relieving both the symptoms related to the inflammation of eye pain and the pain itself. You can gently massage castor oil onto the eyelid several times a day after using a warm-water compress on the eye.
